  • False and Historic Allegations Defeated

A Successful Year for Edward Hayes

This year has been very successful for Edward Hayes and we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our hardworking staff, who have secured not guilty verdicts for our clients and taken on a wide variety of cases. Although the individuals leading these cases deserve a huge amount of credit for these victories, they are a team effort and everyone at Edward Hayes has contributed to make this such a good year for us.

Edward Hayes

Charles Long

In heading up the false allegation and historic accusations team, Charles has been engaged on numerous grooming and school abuse cases across the country which the team defeated through their meticulous preparation. He was also instructed on a high-profile money laundering and asset freezing case involving millions of dollars, property in the UK, Thailand and worldwide assets. This occurred after a very large international eBay fraud involving counterfeit golf equipment.

Family Law Team

Our Family Law Team reunited a father with his family following their insistence on an expedited fact finding hearing. This was one of the most harrowing and traumatic parental alienation cases they had to deal with and they succeeded in proving that historic allegations were false. The team used their specialist resources and experience to defend a mother falsely accused of baby shaking. They also helped another mother to obtain a declaration in the court that her and her children’s human rights were breached when West Sussex County Council took the children into Section 20 foster care for two years. The mother and her children were given significant financial compensation. Their success in helping mothers who had their children taken into care continued when she helped a Portsmouth mother get her children back after false allegations of non-accidental injury.

Legal 500 Recommendation

The entire family team has been recognised for their excellent work in abuse/serious injury cases with a recommendation by Legal 500, an organisation who analyse the capabilities of law firms worldwide.
